What an exciting time we live! Though we often feel powers of darkness gathering their forces to interrupt the good in our lives—likewise—the heavenly powers of love and light are gathering forces to bless and heal our world. During my journey in the spirit realm, I was shown the angels singing healing tones to our world to help heal and lift man’s vibrations to that of light and love. As we attune ourselves to God and the things of God that speak to our heart, he will reveal his wonders to us! We will see his hand in our lives and witness his loving miracles. He knows each of us better than anyone and sent his Son to not only redeem us, but show us the way of love back to our heavenly home.
As a human race, we must prepare mentally, physically and spiritually for the inevitability of earth changes. During my NDE I was shown natural disasters and man-made disasters and accidents that have and will result because of our world's fallen condition and its negative energy. I was told that we have all but destroyed the healing energies we have as care-takers of our planet and of one another. We have allowed our love to adulterate, contaminate and deteriorate. Even so, I was told it is not too late. We can still change and reinstate the healing of our world if we but have the will for the difficult and far-reaching choices necessary to do so.
Our Heavenly Father does not abandon us to do this alone. He loves us unconditionally and his love is greater than we can begin to imagine. He sent his only begotten son to show us the way of love. He willingly sacrificed his life that we might receive his forgiveness and turn our hearts to love! Some of my favorite words are “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son...” (John3:16). Perhaps now, more than anytime before, we live in greater awareness of our need for Jesus Christ, who is the Savior of our world.
To this day I am moved to tears whenever I recall my most sacred time with him and all that he showed me. My memory of our premortal life with him fills my heart with thankfulness for my Lord, my brother and friend, my Savior and God! I recall how I was shown Jesus preparing to come to earth—we were all there. We all knew the suffering he would endure for us. We cheered when we learned that he would come to earth to remind us of our heavenly home with God, our Heavenly Father, and that we would return to him unscathed by the challenges that earth would offer because of his loving sacrifice of his life for us. We knew he would give his life for us and we were sorrowful for him because we loved him so much, yet we rejoiced for the gift he would bring us. I remember looking on his majestic countenance, having completed his mission, triumphant over death and I want to shout “Praise God! He lives! My eternal Savior lives!” Today I know Jesus lives because he lives in my heart and I thank my Heavenly Father for his love, that he gave his son to teach us the way to love.
My precious brothers and sisters, we are in times of tribulation and each have felt the “speeding up” of the universal clock of time. We have much to do as we walk through our trials but we have likewise much to look forward to as we grow spiritually forward into God’s blessings he has waiting for us. This time of year when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus brings particular peace, love and joy as we remember Christ’s gift of his life for us. Take time with your families to gather them close and share your faith in God and your thankfulness for our Beloved Savior this Easter time. God bless you and I love you!
In his eternal love,
Betty
Dearest Friends,
I appreciate all who are praying for our world and know many of you join me in surrounding our world with as much love as we can! Our prayers make a difference. I was shown this. Nonetheless, our world must change for the better or it will face a refiner’s fire. I wrote about this in 1999 when I published my book “The Ripple Effect."
We have billions of spirit brothers and sisters with whom we share this life, and we are collectively responsible for this world we live on. We all lend our energy to it. Our thoughts, words, actions, talents, and light blend to form a collective environment and experience. Our combined energy helps create or destroy the well being of each person. Therefore, each action of each individual blesses or lessens the welfare of every other. This interdependence of all things living and non-living is perhaps best understood by our native peoples—in America and elsewhere. By listening to their teachings and weaving them into our own ways, we may bring a simple and priceless harmony into our lives that is missing. Each soul is unique, but the principles of life are eternal.
We have all noticed the increase of calamity and natural disaster. In witnessing the terrible suffering on earth, some wonder just how constant God’s love is to allow such terrible things to occur.
Natural afflictions of the world come for many reasons, but we must put them all under the general heading of “Blessings.” Some afflictions come as a result of personal choice. Smoking, for example, can lead to lung cancer. Overeating can lead to diabetes or heart problems. Fear and anxiety produce their own forms of ailment. Some physical conditions occur as a result of our spiritual health. But every opposition is a gift from God and can be used to refine spiritual awareness and increase love if we choose to use them this way. The same is true for earthquakes, famine, pestilence, and other natural disasters. We knew before coming here that some trials would be very traumatic and that we might not understand them or learn all we could from them. But we volunteered for them anyway, seeking all things that might refine us, humble us, and empower us to use our divine gifts to overcome and grow beyond these adversities. We hoped and we covenanted that by enduring these trials we would return to God stronger and more like him.
However, knowing that we chose to endure tragedy, and knowing that God allows it, does not make tragedy any less painful. The pain is part of the growth process, with the greater pain often triggering the greater growth. At times the pain or the calamity can be so severe that we need the love and prayers of others to enable us to endure it. The increase of love and prayer leading to greater faith among people may be the purpose behind some disasters. Or this may be one purpose among many as multiple truths are taught to all involved. A loving God allows tragedies to occur because he loves us and knows exactly what we need and what we can endure in order to grow.
We live in troubling times. Evil seems to be reaching new depths and broader acceptance in the lives of many. But truth is also expanding in the world, surging with new light and new ideas and generating exciting opportunities and challenges. For many this is a frightening time as old orders change and new values seep in. Time is speeding up. “What is the world coming to?” is a question as old as the world but perhaps more applicable today than ever. But regardless of its condition, this precious world is ours. We chose to come to it, and we chose this period of time in which to come. Many of us were among the strong ones, ready and determined to come and bless this world in these chaotic times. And now is our chance!
Our action or lack of action will have an impact. Planet Earth possesses a spirit, a life-force all its own. In a very real way it is a living entity. Currently the earth suffers from evil and abuse heaped upon it over time. It suffers from the misuse of its energy by man, and this abuse has taken its toll. Mankind has now changed the nature of the energy within and surrounding the earth. Like a magnetic force, this energy is beginning to pull and distort the earth’s harmony, throwing natural forces off balance. If we do not return to the truths of God, seasons will continue to be altered, earthquakes will split the earth, floods will rage, disaster will follow disaster, and all this will be a direct result of our collective disregard for universal laws. Our actions magnified by billions of souls will literally change our environment, spiritually followed by physically.
As dire and unavoidable as this sounds, we must not become fatalistic. We have the power to reverse this process! As I came back from death, I was shown many catastrophes that await the earth if mankind collectively continues to break universal laws. These catastrophes are not for our punishment; they come as natural results of our choices. We determine our own destiny and will face the evil or good that we create. I was told that denying our Creator, who is God himself, would be the foremost cause of these consequences. So I was given to know that calamities need never occur if we will bring ourselves into harmony with God and the universe. We can restore the spiritual balance of our creation if we choose to.
And many are choosing to! Our world stands on the brink of a spiritual renaissance, a revival of spirituality that will sweep the earth and change it in significant ways. To effect these changes, the great Awakening has already begun. Light and knowledge have begun to flow from heaven in greater intensity. Those sensitive to it will respond and fill their lives with this light and knowledge. Evil, by its opposing nature, is rising up to challenge this Awakening. But the harder the opposition, the harder the angels and good people will work to create it. If not for evil and its polarizing effects, the Awakening in fact could not happen as quickly as it will. God has set this in motion, and it will not be stopped. Once he begins a work, his energy quickly fills it and expands until the work is finished. The world will suffer greatly through this process of rebirth, but its outcome is sure—not just because God has ordained it, but because millions of good people will exercise their free will to embrace this gift from heaven. We can fail individually, but we will not fail collectively.
Those who understand the message of God’s love must share it with courage and confidence. People not yet sure in spiritual truth will be supported and guided by those who are sure until they come into their own understanding. We can and will see our world cleansed of all evil and blanketed with a greater glory, even the glory and love of God. But we must each believe and act in that belief. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
My precious brothers and sisters, my prayers are with you as you gather your families and loved ones to greater strength in the Lord. May his blessings pour upon you in all that you do I pray in the name of the Savior of our world, amen.
In his eternal love,
Betty
Blessings for the
New Year 2012!
There is magic in gratitude.
It frees us from worry
and competition in life.
It opens our hearts and hands
to genuine love,
ironically allowing our
hearts and hands to be filled again.
—The Ripple Effect, page 30
As we meet the New Year, let us count our blessings and begin it by renewing our divine connection to God. Through prayerfully opening our eyes to his miracles, we will see his hand in our lives. Though we may have personal struggles, we can begin the year 2012 in gratitude, thus opening heaven's gates to the blessings our Heavenly Father desires for us.
The current state of our world is cause for great concern, however, this has been ongoing for many years now. The year 2012 is merely one more added to those in which we have become keenly aware of our need for help from above. Rather than giving in to fear, we can exercise our faith in God; hold to our alignment with his Spirit that we feel in our hearts; and remember that he is in control of all things. He is our ultimate source! We are in his care and he wants us to freely turn to him for our strength, hope and love. As we "stay the course," by placing our trust in our Father in Heaven—we will walk with a firm step through every storm of our lives!
My prayers are for you, as well as for mankind and our world. I look forward to sharing more of what I learned from the other side about these troubled times very soon. However, on this new day of this new year—I am thankful for Jesus and his unconditional love for each of us! I thank God for my precious family whose love surrounded me through the holidays while I missed my beloved Joe. I'm thankful for all that I have learned through my trials and experience that have given me wisdom and better prepared me to serve God's purposes well.
The New Year is a wonderful time to re-dedicate our lives to God and commit ourselves in his service and his will. I do so with great eagerness of heart and ask for his blessings upon all. Following a vision I had of an octopus covering the world with "Embraced By The Light," I plan to launch a new media venue early this next year, but I need your help.
I need any questions that you may have, or want answers to, that I can give from my perspective. Your questions can be about whatever is in your heart. They can be regarding spirituality, the afterlife...or how to cope with loss and trials…or, what you hold dear to your heart and are looking for answers to or guidance for. Fear is growing rampant in the world. Suicide is rising because of despair and loss of hope. The vision that “Embraced By The Light” brings to people is God's unconditional love, that their lives have great meaning and there is no death. Please help me to share this message! Send your questions to me via email, Twitter or Facebook. I personally will receive them.
I am excited about this new opportunity to reach even greater numbers of people with what has helped millions already. And, 2012, looks to be a great year to do this! Thank you and God bless you in this "ripple" of love!
In his eternal love,
Betty
Walk in the Spirit of God
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Galatians 5:25
My Dearest Friends,
I am often asked to share my knowledge of current events due to civil unrest, natural disasters and a falling away from God. I have hesitated to write about my knowledge of what was shown me in heaven about this. I have preferred not to focus on negativity, nor have I wanted to create fear. However, I was shown the possibility of these events for a reason, therefore, I wrote about some of them in my book, “The Awakening Heart.”
I was shown that the earth, too, had a spirit life, an energy that God gave it so that it could produce life-giving substances for our benefit. Then, as its inhabitants, we lent our own energy to that energy, changing the earth’s to match our own. I saw that the atmosphere surrounding our earth was saturated with combustible components that had threatened our lives for years and were now ready to do further destruction. I knew that this was the effect of our greed and other sins we had committed against the earth, and we would have to suffer the consequences of that. . . .
“This world belongs to you, Father,” my spirit wept. “It was placed in our care. . . . Now we have destroyed it!”
I continued to watch scene after scene in amazement, like an observer at a fatal accident. “So this is our creation,” I thought. I knew that this was never God’s will for our lives! He created us like himself and gave us gifts, special talents to develop and to use as we chose. He is the pattern that we are to follow, and his example would be the greatest respect to the earth that so richly gives of all it has. I thought back to the Savior’s final words to me: “The days of the earth are short.” I wondered if there was anything we could do before we met with this devastation. —The Awakening Heart, pages 7-9
The other reason I have not written more about this is because I was told that it does not have to be. We can make a change, a real change! God gave us the power of prayer to change what we do not want in our lives. He gave us the free will to think, to choose, to make a difference—to learn and become co-creators with him. We can make a difference through radiating our faith in God and using our power of prayer to seek his will. God’s will, will be done—and his will is for his children to turn to him and to turn to love for one another. We can and will save our world when we choose God and higher standards for our change! The course is up to us and what the Heavenly Father will allow us to experience in order to turn mankind’s hearts around.
We are approaching the time of elections in the United States of America and as this time draws near I want to encourage you to vote, and not just vote, but rather, study, explore and choose prayerfully—seeking God’s Spirit in all choices.
“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).
It is in the Spirit of God that we can find comfort in troubled times. It is in the Spirit of God that our steps can be guided and we can use the gift of discernment in the choices we make. As we take the time to pray, to quiet ourselves and invite the Spirit of God to be with us, we can feel his presence and connect with our own spirit within our own heart.
We do live in troubled times where much clamors for our attention. Misinformation is rampant and with a dividedness that seems to only increase. Freedoms that we took for granted decades ago are now quickly being whittled away and it also appears we are being prepared to become submissive. Submissiveness is easily recognized in our airports as we line up unclothed and submit ourselves to indignity. There is more that can be done about this, but it is alarmingly not being done. Political “correctness” is also taking precedence over our right to publicly acknowledge God and show our devotion to him. We must search our hearts to connect with our higher values, higher standards, and greater faith—with inner strength that invites God’s Spirit to make our choices, rather than heed to the whim of mankind. Then, when we are strengthened by God, we can lovingly but firmly stand up for what we believe! As we do, we will lift up others also, and “tweak” the whole toward the standards and values we have held so dear.
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Galatians 6:7-8
I am also alarmed at the complacency I often see encouraged and propagated by well-meaning, and not so well-meaning people. I hear some say that since God is absolute, that whatever happens must have been caused by him. They are forgetting that we reap the consequences of our choices and that God allows what we create to learn from, and to grow from. He does not interfere with our choices when we use our free will against common sense and his higher will. Therefore, my beloved friends, let's not be complacent, but let us become proactive and use our discernment to make right choices.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9
We are men and women of faith, and faith is not complacent! We must take action to save our world and as we exercise our faith by taking action, we are following our Father in Heaven's will. Then, as we do our part by being responsible for what he has given us, we can then have faith that all is in his loving hands.
Heavenly Father,
I pray for healing of our political divisions and for all the leaders in the world. May you heal our economy and help those who are working on solutions to solve our many problems. I pray for families to be strengthened and to feel their eternal bonds that they might be of greater support to one another. I pray for citizens of all nations to let their voices be heard and for their leaders to hear their voices and listen. I pray for the healing of Mother Earth, that her spirit might be calmed by our show of love and appreciation for all that she blesses us with--the oil, the water, the plant and animals life and all materials that provide us with food and shelter. I pray for us all to expand our ability to love and to draw closer to you, and that we might walk in righteousness so that you can bless us with the abundance of your Spirit. In the name of your precious son Jesus Christ, who walked this earth to show us love, appreciation and acknowledgement of you, amen.
In his eternal love,
Betty
My Dearest Friends,
During this time of celebration with family and loved ones, let's not forget the sacrifice of those who contributed toward our lives today. May we each take time to unite our hearts in prayers of thankfulness for our many blessings.
Father in Heaven,
Thank you for this land of abundance and beauty. Thank you for this great nation founded on principles of righteousness. Many have fought and lost their lives that we might enjoy freedom today, their sacrifices and those of their families are not forgotten. Thank you for blessing us with forefathers who were determined and dedicated their lives to what they believed, that future generations might be blessed. Bless those men and women who give service in our armed forces today and their families to do well and thrive.
Many have forgotten why America is free and are in a quandary as to the direction of this great nation. Place your Spirit upon our leadership and touch their hearts with the solutions that will end all strife and suffering. Bless the world leaders to be guided by your hand to make right choices that will enable your blessings to be poured upon all your children.
Father, bless all of us with greater thankfulness for this blessed land and to do our part in the choices we make. Open our eyes to your hand in our lives that we might live in love and in gratitude for your many blessings. As we celebrate the birth of the United States of America, may we never forget that we are one nation under your divine guidance! Heavenly Father, may we serve you and your purposes well. I pray in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, amen.
God bless you,
Betty
My Dearest Friends,
My love and prayers are with you on Father's Day, and throughout your mission as a parent.
Last month I wrote about the importance of
women in our homes, that mothers are in a
most advantageous position to make a sacred
difference in the lives of their families. This month, I want to express my appreciation for men—Fathers, Husbands, Brothers and Grandfathers—whose roles are also vital to their families. Men, like women, were divinely created by our Creator, God, to serve specific roles here on earth. Men are designed to be protectors and providers and specifically given a greater attunement to the physical, while women are more attuned to what is spiritual. Women are more likely to say, "I feel," while men are more likely to say, "I see." Therefore it is given that women have a greater sense of spiritual intuition than men were given.
In God's perfect wisdom, and to serve his purposes, he blessed men with increased strength in their physicality, and gave them emotional strength to endure the heavy responsibility of providing the physical needs for their precious families. I have to wonder how heavily that responsibility must weigh upon a man’s shoulders while in care of his wife and little ones! Again, in God's perfect wisdom, he created women to walk along side of man. As they walk together, joined in loving support of each other, they create a solid foundation on which their children grow. This is God's perfect plan.
You can see how men and women’s roles compliment each other, are ideal balance and the perfect design of our loving Heavenly Father. "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;" (Ephesians 5:25) Yet in our troubled times these roles have fallen out of balance as women find themselves taking on the role of provider out of need, men becoming distracted from their families and the loving example of mother and father is missing. When this happens, the entire family is thrown out of balance. With both parents out of the home, the children are often left with others, or worse, left alone to parent themselves without feelings of love from either parent or family unit.
This is an unfortunate result of our times that is causing harm to families—especially to children, and it will take the determination of both parents to return to faith in God, in order for families to be brought back to the balance that God intended for them. With the recent loss of my husband and my “rock,” Joe…I felt gratitude for the strength of family bonds in a way I have never experienced before. Through this most painful time, we had the foundation of a strong family unit, devoted to God, that we could draw from and lean upon to carry us through our loss. I pray for all families to have such bonds of love, of devotion to one another, of compassion and understanding with that firm foundation in God—to carry each through every storm!
I asked my son Jeff, what I might say to you fathers that would encourage you, empower you and perhaps help you to fill the giant shoes that you wear. Your appointed role is so vital to your family. I found Jeff was taught well by his father. With his permission I want to share his "notes" with you.
Note for Fathers
by Jeff Eadie
A Fathers main role over the years has traditionally been as a provider and tasked to provide a roof over the heads of the family, put clothes on their backs, and fill the cupboards with food, etc. And although this is a very important and necessary function in a family unit, sometimes this focus on a father's primary role can cause ill effects on children if a man takes this role too far—and makes it his sole purpose.
I understand the need for a father to be a good provider, this is important, but the single most important thing a father can impart to a child is love—love for their siblings, love for their parents and extended family, love for their friends and neighbors, and even love for those they do not know. Especially when raising a son, a father must let him know its okay to be loving and express emotion. And always, a father must help provide a foundation for a child to learn about and love Jesus Christ. For without the teachings of love, the size of the home a child grew up in, the style of a car, the extravagant vacations, the fancy college they attended will mean nothing of great importance and perhaps even leave an emptiness inside which that a child will carry on into adulthood, and then pass on to their own children. Now I am not saying that a mother cannot fulfill the role as the love and care giver, but when reinforced by the power of a strong father, the blessing received by a child is incredible, and will help them in so many ways as they grow up.
A father should put down his pen, his computer, his newspaper...and pick-up a glove, a ball or a bike. The power of personal attention between a father and their child far outweighs any earthly tangible item a father can provide. An hour spent with your child will pay countless dividends down the road, providing the child with memories that will forever be embedded within his soul.
At the end of a man's life, and as he looks at his life's accomplishments, it's never the job promotion he wished for that he didn't get, or the car he didn't buy, or the size of the home he provided for his family, but rather the quality of time he spent with his loved ones that will truly define him and either bring him comfort or make him pause. I know this to be true, and I implore all fathers to think about this as they go about their daily lives...if they were to pass away tomorrow, would they be satisfied with the time they spent with their family?
Father in Heaven,
Thank you for your divine wisdom in the creation of men. Bless them in their lives as fathers, grandfathers, husbands and brothers, that they may be a blessing on earth to their families and loved ones. Bless them with resolve to strengthen their families as they seek divine guidance from you. May they become understanding of their perfect role in life and prayerfully renew their covenants with you to acquire your attributes of loyalty, honor, and righteous strength.
Then as godly men, bless them as they manifest your attributes and strive to become loving husbands to their wives and honorable examples for their children. Father, bless them with prosperity, with means to provide for their families. Direct them to jobs and secure their financial needs. Strengthen them in their times of discouragement when they are challenged. Honor their prayers for your guidance and open doors for their success. Help them to see that life is meaningful for their eternal growth—that it is how they face the journey between here and their return to you that will bless them now and in their eternal lives beyond. I humbly pray this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, amen.
My eternal brothers, as fathers, resolve to strengthen your families by seeking the ultimate guidance of our Heavenly Father. He is waiting to hear from you! You are more loved by him than you can possibly know.
God bless you,
Betty
The Genetic Coding of Our Mortal Bodies
My spirit brothers and sisters,
We each are uniquely encoded, perfectly prepared,
and finely tuned to perform our purposes and mission
on earth—to do our part—all of us, in whatever country
God placed us by his design. The men who created the
Declaration of Independance were not perfect. They each
had their weaknesses--yet they prayed and sought God's
will and when brought together with this pure intent they
became a vessel that God could use.
"We were aware of the genetic coding of mortal bodies and the particular
physical features we would have. We wanted and needed these.
We
understood
that memories would be contained in the cells of our new
bodies. This was an
idea that was completely new to me. I learned that
all thoughts and experiences
in our lives are recorded in our subconscious
minds. They are also recorded in our
cells, so that, not only is each cell
imprinted with genetic coding, it is also
imprinted with every experience
we have ever had. Further, I understood that
these memories are passed
down through the genetic coding to our children. These
memories then
account for many of the passed on traits in families, such as
addictive
tendencies, fears, strengths, and so on."

I Follow A Famous Father
His honor is mine to wear;
He gave me a name that was free from shame,
A name he was proud to bear.
He lived in the morning sunlight,
And marched in the ranks of right.
He was always true to the best he knew
And the shield that he wore was bright.
I follow a famous father,
And never a day goes by
But I feel that he looks down to me
To carry his standard high.
He stood to the sternest trials
As only a brave man can;
Though the way be long, I must never wrong
The name of so good a man.
I follow a famous father,
Not known to the printed page,
Nor written down in the world's renown
As a prince of his little age.
But never a stain attached to him
And never he stooped to shame;
He was bold and brave and to me he gave
The pride of an honest name.
I follow a famous father,
And him I must keep in mind;
Though his form is gone, I must carry on
The name that he left behind.
It was mine on the day he gave it,
It shone as a monarch's crown,
And as fair to see as it came to me
It must be when I pass it down.

My Dearest Friends,
I wish all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day!
In my Tribute to Mothers I share my firm belief that mothers are in the most advantageous position to make a sacred difference in the lives of their children. Children hunger for the love they once experienced while in heaven, and they look to their mothers for that love and we are blessed to give them what they need. Love is the most vital emotion for them and when given in abundance they thrive to grow into emotionally sound adults.
As co-creators with God, our precious world can also use our “Mother’s Prayers” today. When I was in heaven, I was told that, “These [mother: as in inspiration, caregiver and nurturer] are the purest prayers because of their intense desire and, at times, sense of desperation. A mother has the ability to give her heart to her children and to implore mightily before God for them.” (Please read Embraced By The Light, page 104)
As women, when in tuned to God, we tend to turn more quickly to him. We are perfectly designed by God for this purpose. Let us use our strength and turn to God in prayer for our husbands, children and for our world. Prayer is the greatest tool we have been given, and when we add the desires of our hearts with our love—it is the greatest force in this world. Our Heavenly Father promised us that he would not intervene in our mortal lives unless we ask for his help. And we can invite his help as as we pray for our concerns and pray for our loved ones. I love the scripture “Pray for one another that ye may be healed…” (James 5:16)
Women, we are amazingly close to our Father in Heaven and perfectly created by him. We can help bless our world when we strengthen the eternal bonds within our own families. We can also strengthen our world by sending out ripples of Christ-like energy and love to all. Women; whether you are a mother of children or not, you were created and placed in the world as healers and nurturers, please join me in prayer for our youth, our families and our world.
Dearest Heavenly Father, Thank you for your wisdom and love and for blessing us with your presence when we come to you in prayer. Bless and strengthen each mother on earth, guide her in wisdom to give the best to her family that her children might honor her and call her blessed. May we each respect our honored place with you and feel our eternal bonds of love for one another in a greater way. Bless our children with greater understanding, love and trust that their hearts might turn to their parents for guidance just as you would lovingly have us turn to you. Father, guide us in all that we do. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
With all my love,
Betty
He Lives
Listen to Sandi Patty sing“They Could Not” and read the lyrics that are so precious to me and will touch your heart and witness to you that the Savior Lives! Then listen to my own witness of the Savior Jesus Christ and know that he loves each of us unconditionally as he loved me.
They Could Not
by Sandi Patty
They looked at Him and
Saw a simple man
A carpenter with healing in His hands
They saw Him calm a sea and
Heal a dying man
They saw but could they really understand
They could not, They could not.
Though they tried, they could not
He was just a simple carpenter but with
healing in His hands
But could they really understand,
they could not
They listened to the teaching that they heard
They wondered at the mystery of His word
They wondered what He meant,
about a Father's plan
They heard but could they really understand
They could not,
They could not
Though they tried,
they could not
They listened
to the teaching
About a Father's plan
But could they really understand,
They could not
So finally upon
a rugged cross
They killed the man
Who would not
suffer loss
And when at last
they took
What willingly
He gave
He died,
but could they keep
Him in the grave
They could not, They could not
Praise God, they could not
And when at last they took from Him what willingly He gave
Could they keep Him in the grave,
Could they keep Him in the grave,
Could they keep Him in the grave...
They could not, They could not
Praise God, they could not
And when at last they took from Him what willingly He gave
Could they keep Him in the grave, could they keep Him in the grave,
Could they keep Him in the grave, They could not!
I weep when I listen to this song because it gives me a touch of home with Jesus as I remember him. When in heaven I recalled Jesus preparing to come to earth, we were all there! And we all knew the suffering he would endure for us. We cheered when we learned that he would come to earth to remind us of our heavenly home with God, our Heavenly Father, and that we would return to him unscathed by the challenges that earth would offer. We also knew that Jesus would give his life for us. We were sorrowful for him, yet rejoiced for the gift he would bring us and when I think of looking upon his majestic countenance, having triumphed over death, I want to shout “Praise God!”
Embraced By The Light
Betty reads from Embraced By The Light, pages 40-53
(Music from Embraced By The Light - The Musical Journey)
“I saw a pinpoint of light in the distance. The black mass around me began to take on more the shape of a tunnel, and I felt myself traveling through it at an even greater speed, rushing toward the light. I was instinctively attracted to it, although again, I felt that others might not be. As I approached it, I noticed the figure of a man standing in it, with the light radiating all around him. As I got closer the light became brilliant—brilliant beyond any description, far more brilliant than the sun—and I knew that no earthly eyes in their natural state could look upon this light without being destroyed. Only spiritual eyes could endure it—and appreciate it. As I drew closer I began to stand upright.
“I saw that the light immediately around him was golden, as if his whole body had a golden halo around it, and I could see that the golden halo burst out from around him and spread into a brilliant, magnificent whiteness that extended out for some distance. I felt his light blending into mine, literally, and I felt my light being drawn to his. It was as if there were two lamps in the room, both shining, their light merging together. It’s hard to tell where one light ends and the other begins; they just become one light. Although his light was much brighter than my own, I was aware that my light, too, illuminated us. And as our lights merged, I felt as if I had stepped into his countenance, and I felt an utter explosion of love.
“It was the most unconditional love I have ever felt, and as I saw his arms open to receive me I went to him and received his complete embrace and said over and over, “I'm home, I'm home. I'm finally home.” I felt his enormous spirit and knew that I had always been a part of him, that in reality I had never been away from him. And I knew that I was worthy to be with him, to embrace him. I knew that he was aware of all my sins and faults, but that they didn't matter right now. He just wanted to hold me and share his love with me, and I wanted to share mine with him.
“There was no questioning who he was. I knew that he was my Savior, and friend, and God. He was Jesus Christ, who had always loved me, even when I thought he hated me. He was life itself, love itself, and his love gave me a fullness of joy, even to overflowing. I knew that I had known him from the beginning, from long before my earth life, because my spirit remembered him . . .
“I seemed to melt with joy as I was held in his arms and comforted—home at last. I would give all in my power, all that I ever was, to be filled with that love again—to be embraced in the arms of his eternal light.”

Amidst Our Trials
My Dearest Friends,
As
we approach the year 2012, some fall prey to
the many rumors and frightening doctrines that
create fear and anxiety. Yes, we do live in
changing times, those that have been prophesied
as troubled times, and some say perhaps even
the end of times. My belief is that while life is changing, it will not end.
God will not allow for the total destruction of the world he so loves, and
created. But change it must, and for our own good.
Life is hurting many with the current shift in our economy and change in our moral standards. And like the growing pains a child might feel before reaching puberty, we too, must go through the pain and agony of growth to evolve to greater heights and we can only do that through every trial and challenge brought before us to face. Life, offers opportunities meant to increase spiritual growth. And what challenges us, no matter how great, or small, can only bring us to greater understanding that will strengthen us and help us to overcome weaknesses. The effects generated from all experiences are exhibited in our individual lives, in our communities and in our nations.Through pain and suffering we will learn where to make every appropriate change.
My love and
prayers are with you as you face your life trials, heartaches and grief. Suffer
them, we must; endure them, we must; and triumphant over them, we must. We
can do this if we walk in the knowledge taught us by Christ.
During his
lifetime, and even now, Jesus’ kindness is often mistaken as weakness. While
he was kind and humble, he was neither a weak or fearful man. Jesus was a man
of gentle strength. Brought to task, he got the job done. He was a man balanced
in both the things of the physical and spiritual. He was a man of utmost strength.
It stands to reason that if we are to follow after him, we must stand-up for what we believe in and not shrink from what is right. We can only do good if we do something about our good intentions. This is not the time to become fearful of life or of living, but it is the time to stand strong in your faith and show strength through your beliefs.
When I am
asked what I think about the year 2012 and where I plan to be on December 21st,
my mind immediately takes me to what will be the 20 year anniversary of the
publishing of "Embraced By The Light," and I hope to be celebrating
it! IF you would like to join with me, let’s make it a date!
With
all my love,
Betty
Honoring the Cycle of Life
Follow this
link to see how the imbalances in our lives effect our Cycle of Life
My Dearest Friends,
An
urgent prayer request from Chief Arvol Looking Horse “Keeper
of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe of the Lakota,
Dakota, Nakota Nation of the Sioux” regarding
the Gulf Coast Oil Spill. My concerns join his in
the importance of united world prayer for this frightening
situation. I ask that your prayers join ours.
Chief
Arvol Looking Horse’s Concerns and Prayer
My Relatives,
Time has come to speak to the hearts of our Nations
and their Leaders. I ask you this from the bottom of
my heart, to come together from the Spirit of your
Nations in prayer.
We, from the heart of Turtle Island, have a great message
for the World; we are guided to speak from all the
White Animals showing their sacred color, which have
been signs for us to pray for the sacred life of all
things. As I am sending this message to you, many Animal
Nations are being threatened, those that swim, those
that crawl, those that fly, and the plant Nations,
eventually all will be affected from the oil disaster
in the Gulf.
The dangers we are faced with at this time are not
of spirit. The catastrophe that has happened with the
oil spill which looks like the bleeding of Grandmother
Earth, is made by human mistakes, mistakes that we
cannot afford to continue to make.
I asked, as Spiritual Leaders, that we join together,
united in prayer with the whole of our Global Communities.
My concern is these serious issues will continue to
worsen, as a domino effect that our Ancestors have
warned us of in their Prophecies.
I
know in my heart there are millions of people that
feel our united prayers for the sake of our Grandmother
Earth are long overdue. I believe we as Spiritual people
must gather ourselves and focus our thoughts and prayers
to allow the healing of the many wounds that have been
inflicted on the Earth. As we honor the Cycle of Life,
let us call for Prayer circles globally to assist in
healing Grandmother Earth (our Unc'I Maka).
We ask for prayers that the oil spill, this bleeding,
will stop. That the winds stay calm to assist in the
work. Pray for the people to be guided in repairing
this mistake, and that we may also seek to live in
harmony, as we make the choice to change the destructive
path we are on.
As we pray, we will fully understand that we are all
connected. And that what we create can have lasting
effects on all life.
So let us unite spiritually, All Nations, All Faiths,
One Prayer. Along with this immediate effort, I also
ask to please remember June 21st, World Peace and Prayer
Day/Honoring Sacred Sites day. Whether it is a natural
site, a temple, a church, a synagogue or just your
own sacred space, let us make a prayer for all life,
for good decision making by our Nations, for our children's
future and well-being, and the generations to come.
Onipikte (that we shall live), Chief Arvol Looking Horse 19th generation Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe
(Adding my prayer to Chief Looking
Horse’s prayer)
Heavenly
Father,
I
stand in this Circle of Prayer with Chief Arvol Looking
Horse and with all Spiritual Leaders and Prayer Warriors
to hold this dire situation up to you for your intervention.
Spare us the domino effect that our Ancestors have
warned us of in their Prophecies. Enlighten our Government
Leaders to look beyond the greed of politics and money
and see what damage is being done to our world and
its people.
Bless
the millions of people united in prayer for this cause.
May we always honor the Cycle of Life, and may we shamelessly
call for global Prayer Circles to assist in the healing
of our Grandmother Earth!
May
we unite our spirits with all Nations, all Faiths in
One Prayer. May we also remember June 21st, which was
set aside by Chief Looking Horse for "World Peace and
Prayer Day/Honoring Sacred Sites day." Bless us to
pray for all life and for our children's futures and
well-being for all generations to come.
In
the Sacred name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
My
beloved Friends, may we unite to increase our prayers
and become wise and thankful stewards of our precious
world!
With
all my love,
Betty
The Act of Forgiveness
My Dearest Friends,
When we are hurt by those we love and trust, whether their acts or opinions are true or false, can be lasting and do great harm. Often children are subjected to lies, abuse, betrayal and rejection that set firm a foundation of pain almost too difficult to overcome––and to forgive. Buried deep, unreleased pain triggers anger, shame and guilt, and always feelings of betrayal and rejection. Tender spirits, especially later in life, can become ill from various diseases. Doctors of a famed Clinic have warned, "When you don't practice forgiveness, you may be the one who pays most dearly!" Release of pain, especially when hidden or buried, is necessary to uncover in order to heal a conflicted spirit and the brokenness of heart. These are destroyers of the mind, body and soul.
Acknowledging a hurt and a need to forgive, either yourself or others, is a step towards healing the mutation of soul. Understanding why someone would hurt you, or why you made wrong choices, can create the desire and the spirit to forgive. It is always your choice to find understanding and to give forgiveness, or to hold onto anger and thoughts of revenge.
Without forgiveness, we pay a price over and over again. We bring that anger and bitterness into every relationship and new experience, often as a replay of events or hurt of the past—wanting to understand the previous hurt—our thoughts and imagination dwell on every conceivable aspect surrounding the unforgivable offense or offender. Over time the events may lose their clarity, but because we have fallen into a wallowing of self-agony—whether remorseful self-recrimination or vengeful lack of goodwill—continuance seems acceptable and even predictable. Self pity encourages self defense, which then encourages ill health through anxiety and depression. One can then become consumed in self contempt that automatically leads to self punishment. Holding onto feelings of revenge and anger, one’s perception changes to see and to create the worst about people and their every motive. Becoming hooked on self indulgence and selfishness, the wounded soul sinks deeper into despair and disease. Angry outbursts come at the smallest perceived “wrong” doing of another. Soon despair causes feelings that one is always wronged or misunderstood. Anxiety, depression, alcohol or drugs then will numb the soul from finding help through the discovery that feelings buried alive never die.
There is always hope when there is truth and love, the spirit rejoices and rebounds in its freshness. And there is freshness in forgiveness—a letting go of things you cannot change but can now take charge of through your enlightenment. And when this happens, the physical mind and body can heal!
Recent studies show the effects of forgiveness. The Evidence indicates that when we cannot, or do not, forgive; the results are long-term health problems. In contrast, the positive effects of genuine forgiveness, release chemicals that help our bodies to heal. As a counselor and therapist, I saw that when a client truly forgave, there was an instant change in their mind, body and soul. These sudden changes are measurable. Forgiveness lowers blood pressure, heart rate, stress, feelings of unworthiness, a need for substance abuse and inspires healthier relationships! Without a doubt, I know that practicing forgiveness offers benefits far too numerous to mention.
Forgiving isn't the same as forgetting. The offense may always remain a part of life as a lesson to either learn from or a place to grow from. But to forgive self or others, will rid you of anger and give focus to the positive side of your life. Forgiving self or others does not mean that you are in denial of who is responsible. Nor, does it minimize or justify the wrong. However, you can refuse to hold ill will and forgive without excusing the act just as you can “hate the sin, but not the sinner.”
A state of forgiveness can be reached when there is a desire and a commitment to change. One step at a time and you can begin at any time! As forgiveness is accepted by your spirit and offered to others, effective change begins immediately. Learning to deflect reactions to hurtful stimulus and replace it with love and a forgiving heart––is Christ-like and the example he humbly set for us to follow. Thus, the scripture: “do unto others as you would have done unto yourself.”
When we choose to forgive any offense or offender, we remove our role as a victim and deny any control over our lives. Understanding and compassion can be found in every case of wrong doing because behind every abuse, there is another victim struggling. There is a reward in embracing forgiveness. We can learn to empathize, sympathize and embrace peace––peace within you and peace you pass along—all will lead to physical, emotional and spiritual health and well-being.
My beloved friends, let us make today a new day by forgiving ourselves and others. Forgiveness is not a weakness, it is not being a doormat for others. It is a strength! We can take charge of our own lives while allowing the same to others.
“ Forgiveness of self is where all forgiveness starts. If I am unable to forgive myself, it is impossible for me to truly forgive others. And I must forgive others. What I give out is what I receive. If I want forgiveness, I have to give forgiveness.” —Embraced By The Light, page 116
God bless you!
With all my love,
Betty
To Love and Be Loved
My Dearest Friends,
When in his presence, his love surrounding me, I felt
his enormous spirit and will never forget the sweetness
of his voice. His message still rings in my ears and
is ever so clear: "Above all else, love one another..."
“Love one another,” I thought. “Can it be that simple?” I
wondered. Loving whomever and whatever was easy within
the presence of Jesus where I felt love everywhere!
Heaven holds nothing but love, God is love, Jesus is
love, the ability to love was no challenge at all.
Back on earth, I found loving everyone is not so simple—not
so easy! The love I had for everyone and felt back
from them, was based upon conditions that made me feel
vulnerable. Loving with all your heart can hurt, and
hurt deeply. During a lifetime, loved ones are lost
to death, to illness, and even to others when love
wanes and partners whom committed to unending love
find somebody new to love.
I saw that—to love and to be loved—is one of the strongest
driving forces within mankind. Either love or the lack
of love compels and governs at nearly every turn. Almost
every expression, every thought and deed, seek love
and acceptance of that love. We are challenged by this
never ending need and are often brought to despair
because of it.
A need to find love can take us on a journey to discover it in all the wrong places. How many songs are written about those places and people so wrong for us? Yet, we are compelled by the internal need and drive to discover and to experience love, an emotion that almost overwhelms to keep seeking.
I eventually learned how it is that we are to learn
to love above all else: God is pure love! He is the
ultimate of love and he desires us to grow to become
as he is. Learning to love is a selfless act that comes
with self-giving, and is the ultimate sacrifice of
one’s own being. While it is risky business for some,
it is our ultimate goal---our greatest challenge on
earth--- and what we came here to learn.
As God’s creation, our spirits loved freely and unconditionally when with him. In the presence of God, love comes easily because we draw our ability to love from him. For higher growth, God sent us to earth to acquire this attribute for ourselves. To become beings of greater love—our understanding of love had to internalize–to become a part of our soul. This can only happen through experience. On Earth, what love we gain—is tested to the nth degree! By the time we think we have learned it all, something develops to further our testing—and
the tests are almost always through painful trials.
As we learn what true love is not, we will learn what
pure love is.
To love, in the purest way, we must first recognize
and develop the love already within us. Every fiber
of our soul was created by God to love and to generate
more love that we might become pure love; the purest
energy that both creates and heals. Through mistakes
and through misuse of love we will come to learn what
is pure about love. We can work through our physicality
bound by ego—that selfish pursuit of physical love—and
face even the great challenges brought by those in
quest to find love for themselves when abusing that
of others. Even those whom we love the most and become
hurt by can bring our greatest growth.
What a blessing to know that within you lies the purest
of love in embryo, that, it is without beginning or
end. Uncover it by opening to love’s possibility and trusting its ultimate purpose. Soon, you will feel its completeness and discover that love simply just "is."
My love and prayers are with all, especially as you
meet your trials and challenges— stay the course our
goal is worth it! God works in mysterious ways, he
gives us a taste of his purest love and blessings,
then sees what happens to our faith when it is challenged.
