for April 9th:
I Hold the Keys of Heaven’s Gate
We hold the key to prison’s door and heaven’s gate. When will we choose to learn within the perfect love and light of God? As soon as we do, we throw off our shackles of fear and guilt. By turning the key to heaven, by desiring to enter therein, we allow our Savior to reach us, to save us, to teach us how to become more like him.

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Psalms 25:4-5
Father, thank you for gifting me with keys that open doors to opportunity and growth. Help me especially to keep open the door to your love and truth so that fear and guilt and false tradition don’t blind me to your ways.  Fill me, father, with courage and conviction to find and follow the true path to heaven’s gate, that I might enter and dwell with you forever.
Affirmation:
I desire to learn of God and to follow the path of my Savior to heaven.
