Wishing
You a Very Merry Christmas

Dearest Friends,
May you have a blessed Holiday Season and your homes and hearts
be filled with a Christmas overflowing with Christ’s love!
Thank you for your prayers after the loss of my husband Joe. My family and I are well and though we miss Joe dearly, we know that one day we will be with him again.
My
prayers are with those who are also suffering the loss of a loved one, who are without jobs, lost their home, and perhaps are under financial stress. I also pray for those who are ill and who suffer sometimes alone. And many are away
from families and yearn to be with them, such as our Service men and women.
Please join with me in prayers for all the above, may their needs be met and may they be comforted, fellowshipped and loved.
We can help. Let
us reach out to those around us and give what we can. Then let us stretch a bit more to the poor and needy. Jesus said that
there will always be the poor among us. Since he knows this, and God has special
angels watching over them, their purpose must surely be to keep our hearts tender
and open to giving. We can be confident that when we give in abundance of
our surplus and prayers to others, that
our growth and direction are connected to God.
God
is pure love! He is the ultimate of love and he desires us to grow as he is.
With that purpose in mind, he sent us his son, Jesus, the Savior of our world, to teach us compassion by showing us how to love. While in the presence of the Savior I was surrounded by his love and I felt his magnificent spirit. I noticed that I had a tiny bit of love also that blended with his, though my light was more of a desire for love. Each of us have within our being the ability to love, for we are children of our Heavenly Father and he has given each of us the capacity to love. I will never forget the sweetness of his voice and the warmth I felt as he said to me "Above all else, love one another." His message rings in my heart today and I still hear it ever so clearly, that the most important purpose each of us has here is to love one another.
My prayers are with you and God bless you!
Eternal love,
Betty

Something
to Ponder
From
the "Embraced By The Light: Prayers & Devotions
for Daily Living,"
I Have an Inner Witness of Christ (December 10th)
We need not fear meeting Jesus Christ. Our spirits already know him, and when we meet him again, we will regain that knowledge. Even today our inner voice will speak of him if we open ourselves and listen.
The Ripple Effect - page 112
And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Hebrews 8:11
Father, thank you for the whisperings of the Spirit that testify of your Son Jesus Christ. Bless me as my spirit grows in that knowledge, and help me to stay receptive to the Spirit and to the confirmation of truth that already exists in my heart.
Affirmation:
I have an inner witness of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for me.

Something to share:
My small children and I painted this Nativity scene
shortly after my NDE.
And now, nearly 38 years later, it is still proudly
displayed in our home at Christmas time.
