Giving Our Love to Others

      Dearest Friends,

In sharing kind deeds, positive thought is passed along, and by its mere existence, makes a difference in our world. May we always think and speak in kindness and spread as many positive ripples as we can. What goes out from us, returns to us, thus blessing and healing us. Heavenly Father blessed us to create in this way, and by doing so, we add to the richness of our lives as well as glorify him on Earth and in Heaven. “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven” (Matthew 5:16).

Featuring Acts of Kindness

Go here to read the following additions:

Betty’s daughter, Cheryl, shares an act of kindness she and her niece received from a stranger while enduring a long wait in E.R. Her desire to keep this ripple moving gives her an eagerness to  “pay it forward” for someone else that is contagious!

Maria learns miraculously that even a patient who is completely disoriented and incommunicable is touched more deeply by loving kindness than we are aware.

While eating at a local restaurant this mother is reminded by a nun that we were all young at one time and to be patient with our little ones.

During an unsuspecting trip to the grocery store while feeling low, an “angel” of kindness appears in the Deli whose love for God and Jesus continues to ripple through Peggy’s life today.

“I saw myself perform an act of kindness, just a simple act of unselfishness, and I saw the ripples go out again. The friend I had been kind to was kind in turn to one of her friends, and the chain repeated itself. I saw love and happiness increase in others' lives because of that one simple act on my part. I saw their happiness grow and affect their lives in positive ways, some significantly... I felt the love they felt, and I felt their joy. And this from one simple act of kindness.”
—Embraced By The Light, pages 113-114

I pray for our eyes to be open in a greater way to the good we might do for others, thus spreading ripples of God's healing love to all he sends in our path!

      All my love,

      Betty

On October 14, 2006, I was invited to do the release of a Golden Eagle in Cedar City, Utah. This was an amazing experience for me and those who witnessed it. I named the eagle "Ogligle Wakan" from my Native language, which interpreted means: Sacred and Holy Messenger (heavenly angel). This experience was incredible and I would like to share it with you as part of my new "Embraced By The Light Native Paths."

      With all my love,

      Betty

Something to Ponder

For spiritual inspiration read the Daily Devotional with me every day from my home page. Or, you may want to purchase the book from Onjinjinka Books.

From the "Embraced By The Light: Prayers & Devotions for Daily Living," Entry for February 6th:

The Art to Loving Can Be Acquired

I began to practice giving love, at first sending it out by thought to people whom I wanted to love, then actually expressing it to them. Soon the art of loving became one of my greatest strengths...I didn’t acquire the ability to love from just my own efforts; rather, I opened myself up to its possibility and it began to come to me from others.
The Awakening Heart - page 40

God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work...
2 Corinthians 9:7-8

Father, I am learning that there is an art to loving others, especially those who have been wounded by love and no longer trust it. Help me to continue being open and giving while others learn that love can be a beautiful exchange. Bless me with every loving attribute pleasing to you, that I may bring joy and give comfort whenever these are needed. By every act and deed, let me witness of your love.

Affirmation:   I am blessed sufficiently in serving God, and he gives me greater work to do.
