I have two different cancer doctors: The "brain doctor" and my regular "chemo" dctr. That's how I distinguish. Well, Debra, the brain doctor's nurse, called with the results of both Petscan of my brain and MRI of my brain. She said "the tumor has shrunk tremendously, and there are no new metasatic spots in my brain". She said the doctor would have to review to see what to do next (i.e. surgery, etc.) About the trunk of my body, she said she couldn't say, because another doctor ordered that part (my chemo doctor). I said, "you're scaring me a little - it's not that you just don't want to be the one to tell me, is it?" She said"OH NO! She just can't read the results of another dctor's tests to the patient. Then she said,"You already knew there was something going on in there, didn't you, Rose?" T which I said yes. S then I left a message for my chemo doctor's nurse to call me with the results. She did confirm what the doctor had said before, that my optical nerve has been most likely permanently damaged from the weight of the tumor twice (like creasing a hose over and over, pretty soon, it stays crimped. ) So, when you see me wearing the dark glasses, it's to protect my good eye, to keep the lights from blinding me through my closed eyelid (where the eye is totally dilated underneath), and to keep people (some people are insensitive) from staring. Plus, I look like a movie star. LOL That's all I knw. But I can see it's some good news. Had to share....sorry about the lousy typing. LOL Lots of Love, Rose
