It sounds like you are looking for a path to use your "gifts" ... or you can pray that they be muted or taken away. It seems a lot of people with extrasensory overload pray for it to be removed or turned low, and I've heard of that prayer being granted.

Or, maybe there IS something you can do with the information you receive.

Also, I understand people CAN change their tuning ... the more people are spiritually elevated (i.e. focusing on loving-kindness), the more they tune to that "frequency" (and vice versa). Apparently this is so much the case that some people have even made themselves feel bad just to sense negative spirits who had been imperceptible while they were more elevated. And people who feel happy and peaceful likewise tune away from that, and receive happier and more peaceful thoughts.

Not sure if this is relevant to you but hey, thought it might be.

Also not sure what you mean by the way people accept "reality"...
